What inspired me to write “Quran Unvoiced Messages” is a Muslim friend of mine who challenged me to study the Book (Bible)…

What inspired you to write your book?

What inspired me to write “Quran Unvoiced Messages” is a Muslim friend of mine who challenged me to study the Book (Bible) and Balance of the Book (Quran) and find out the truth in them. The work on the said book was initially compiled for my Muslim friend (Mahmood the son of Shiekh Lemo of Niger State, Nigeria). I lost contact with him since our undergraduate days at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria (1992), where we used to interact positively together after watching the Islamic scholar Ahmed Deedat of South Africa debate various Christian scholars around the world. On completion of the manuscript of “Quran Unvoiced Messages”, it became imperative for me to share my discoveries in the Bible and the Quran not just with my Muslim friend, but with all humans on messages for them in the Quran that is unvoiced by Clerics among Jews, Christians and Muslims due to their religious human traditions (or Doctrine of faith). Human ignorance of the messages contain for all of them (Jews, Christians, Muslims and other faiths) is one of the hidden reason behind the major cause of religious related violence, killing and wars on earth for centuries. The current acts of terrors under the cover of Islam by Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabbath of Somalia and other arms carrying Islam group or sects around the world is categorically condemned by God of Mount Moriah (Zion) who is the author of the Quran. The Quran also has much information for Jews and Christians that is of no value to Muslim readers. Any human that reads “Quran Unvoiced Messages” will have the opportunity of reading the whole Quran in an organized manner in accordance to messages intended for Jews, Christians, Muslims and all humans of other faith. The work also provide all humans with guidelines that will aid them study the Quran on their own and also to know the best available English Language translation of the Quran that agrees with Quran Arabic text provided to all humans by God of Mount Moriah through Prophet Muhammad. Any human that fail to listen to what God of Mount Moriah said in His name (Allah meaning Christ the son of Mary, Romans 9:5; Quran 5:17, 72 – 73) through prophet Mohammad, the God of Mount Moriah (Zion) will Himself called such a human or person to account (cf. Deuteronomy 18:15 – 19)

In 50 words, what is your book about?

Answer: The book titled: “Quran Unvoiced Messages voices out to all humans that Christ the Son of Mary (Allah) is the author of the messages revealed in the Quran. Religious clerics among Jews, Christians and Muslims are hindered from voicing these messages out by their human made religious traditions (or doctrines).

Now, in just 5 words (for fun), what is your book about?

Answer: Quran is authored by Christ

How will your book benefit the world?

Answer: The benefits of the book titled “Quran Unvoiced Messages” to all humans in the world are as follows:

The book will create a medium whereby humans on earth will neither be harm or their properties destroyed by acts of terror by person(s) who are not hypocrites among Jews, Christians and Muslims (Isaiah 11:9). This Book informs all humans, especially world leaders on actions they should take against terrorist acting under the cover of Islam as directed by the Great God of Mount Moriah (Christ the Son of Mary or Allah) in the Quran.

The book will create a medium whereby humans on earth will be full of the knowledge of their Creator (Christ the son of Mary) as the waters covers the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

The book will create a medium whereby Jews and Arab scientist will work together to verify (scientifically) prophecy on the Dome of of Mount Moriah as the quarry where the Blackstone of Mecca was cut by Rock Abraham and transferred to Mecca, so that the God of Isaac descendants will be the God Ishmael descendants (Isaiah 51:1 – 2).

The book will create a medium whereby Jews, Christians and Muslims will know that their One and only God who is the Creator of all things is Christ the Son of Mary (Allah). This will serve as an avenue of peace and unity of purpose with regard to faith in the God of Abraham who is their father in faith (Quran 29:46 – 47).

The book will create a medium that will enable humans to use their God-given freedom and liberty to voice-out the knowledge of the truth they discover from the Bible (the Book) and the Quran (Balance of the Book), which was distorted by human traditions (doctrines) of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

The book will promote better understanding on the sincere faith of circumcised children of Abraham (Jews, Christians and Muslims) and to promote peaceful co-existence between them and other religions on earth based on God’s given freedom and liberty to all humans.

The book will enable all humans understand the sign of the unity of the Bible and Quran as seen in the Dome of Rock of Mount Moriah (Zion) in Jerusalem. The sign of Jews departure from the way of God of Mount Moriah resulted in Jews lost of the Temple Mount (Mount Moriah or Zion) to Muslims who build a House of prayer (Dome of Rock) with twelve open channels for the twelve tribes of Israel to easily approach their “Rock” or “Stone quarry” which symbolizes their Great God (Allah) who is Christ the son of Mary (cf. Isaiah 9:6 – 7; Romans 9:5; Quran 5:70 – 73). The sign of Christian departure from the way of God of Mount Moriah resulted in Christian loss of lands where Christianity was planted by the disciples of Jesus (Apostles) to Muslims till this very date. All evangelistic plans by Christians fail to enable them reclaim these lost lands of the early Christian church. The sign of Arab departure from the ways of the God of Mount Moriah resulted in Arab Muslims being ruled by their Muslim slave (Turks) who as their masters founded the Ottoman Empire.

The book will expose the mischievous activities of hypocrite Muslims and will empower sincere Muslims through measures outlined by God in the Quran to deal with them. This book will help humans put things right in Islamic communities on earth.

Are you inspired by any popular author(s)?

Yes, I am inspired by Christ the son of Mary (Allah) who is the author of the Bible and Quran. He inspired me to understand His voice in the Bible and Quran and this assisted me in writing the following books in addition to “Quran Unvoiced Messages”
Unvoiced Prophetic Interpretation
Unvoiced Conspiracy of Traditions: the contribution of Jewish, Christian and Islamic clerics.
Creator’s Unvoiced Plan for Humans.

All these books will be provided to all humans by Strategic Book Group.

Christian author Dan Buckhout says that the Bible is more than a book. He says it is a conversation with God. Start reading, and start conversing.

What is your book about?

My book is about God’s desire for an ever-growing, ever-deepening relationship with you and the lengths that He has gone to ensure its possibility. It’s funny, when I hear this question my first instinct is to get all clinical and explain that my book is about 20 different passages of Scripture, covering various truths, loosely collected into three groups, each with a different area of emphasis, yada, yada, yada. I have to stop myself and remember that the overarching message in all of Scripture is that God loves you, He wants you to know it, and if you enter into a personal relationship with Him, the benefits are astounding and eternal! My prayer is that God can somehow use my book to say “I love you” to those that read it and show them how to “love Him back.” To make it more complicated than that detracts from this glorious message.

Will your book help the world? How?

No, but I pray it will help those in it. If that’s a backward way of saying my book will help the world, then OK, yes. But I hope that my book will reach much farther than this world and have an eternal impact on the lives of those who read it. While I hope that the words in my book prove meaningful, His words in His book are the real stars here. I believe my job is simply to point people to personal nature of God’s Word and the riches that lie therein. If my book can do that, I believe it will help those in this world and have implications far beyond.

What inspired you to write your book?

When I began studying the Bible many years ago I realized that there was something different about this book. I expected to learn about God and about His plan for humanity, which I certainly did, but I soon realized that there was much more going on. I was actually having conversations with God. I was actually investing in a close, personal relationship with Him, and He was reciprocating! I figured if this was a surprise to me, there were surely others who didn’t realize that this rich, intimate relationship comes along as part of the package when you diligently, prayerfully, study the Bible. It was this revelation that inspired me to start YouTruth as an online ministry three years ago and to write this book as a part of that ministry. I believe God has called me to tell as many others as I can.

Who is your favorite author?

Oh my, I can’t narrow it down to a single favorite! I have four clear favorites. I appreciate Donald Miller for his wit. He also reminds me that an earnest faith walk is often gritty and very much imperfect. I enjoy Max Lucado for the way he inspires and uplifts readers and makes difficult Scriptural truths accessible to all. I appreciate Ted Dekker for his ability to keep a reader on the edge of his seat while slipping in powerful truths about the nature of good and evil. And I appreciate C.S. Lewis for his ability to be deeply intellectual in his Christian witness without overwhelming the reader.

What one thing would you like your readers to know about you?

That I’m just a broken, imperfect person searching for the answers, just like everyone else. I think I’ve found a few of them and feel called by God to boldly share them, but I haven’t by any means figured it all out. I learn as much from walking along with others who are likewise searching and struggling to know the truth as I do on my own. I think that’s the way God designed it to work. I expect to learn as much from my readers as we talk about the book, as they learn from reading it. It’s God’s ultimate win-win situation and if that’s the way it works out, I will praise Him indeed!

Please tell us about your book.

The name of my book is “The Adventures of Lynx In The Great Cheese Caper”. It centers around three cats, Kojo, Lynx and Kato. Kojo lives in a large mansion that he inherited from his former owner. Mrs. MacGurdle not only left her estate to Kojo but also a caretaker as well which allows Kojo to live in the manner to which he has become accustomed. Kojo has an older brother, Lynx who has recently found himself out of work down in the big city. Lynx is quite discouraged as he knows he still has great value in the workplace but because he’s much older now is viewed by some as in need of retirement. Lynx visits Kojo and Kojo’s housemate, Kato in Willow River.

It is through spending time with his younger brother Kojo, coupled with Kato’s support and Lynx’s ability to solve a difficult crime mystery involving two rat villains that he is able to prove his value to himself and others as well. It is a story that highlights the importance of family ties, love and strong work ethics. It is designed to teach children that we all possess value and have great worth no matter how old we become.

What inspired you to write your book.

I have always had a love of writing and more importantly cats. I’ve often told people that I feel a kindred spirit with most felines. From the time I was a small child I have always attached human traits to them. One evening about 16 years ago I was watching a Disney classic movie called “The Richest Cat In the World”. The story featured a cat who had been left his owner’s million dollar estate. The cat was able to talk and was very intelligent. A totally cool cat. I just fell in love with the cat even though I had never met him personally. I thought what a neat storyline it provided and one that children as well as adults could enjoy. Thus, my writing ideas were launched, albeit in a direction that could provide a life lesson for children.

Who is your favorite author?

My favorite authors as a child were E.B. White and Beverly Cleary. E.B. White was the author of the books Stuart Little & Charlotte’s Webb. Beverly Cleary was the author of The Mouse On The Motorcyle books. These authors wrote with their animal characters having human traits and the ability to speak. I think I’ve just always connected so well with animals because I was an only child and I was often finding myself alone during playtime. Animals (along with my imaginations) were able to fill the void. Also when I was in elementary school I would write short stories and I feel that these authors definitely influenced my style even then.

It is my greatest hope and endeavor that I can see this book published and in the hands of parents and their children. I would like to write a series of books and I have already formulated a title and story line for the next sequel.

My own two cats along with my own life experiences provide much writing material for my blogs. Please see them @ robinkanstul.com

Meet Henry, an author who loves to write, and who writes about love.In one paragraph, what is your current book about?

“End of the Rainbow is a captivating look at love: Hank, a businessman, meets
Bonnie, a foster child of his aunt. At the time they first meet, she is a
college student. Hank is convinced he has found his soul mate. After a
wonderful month together, the couple loses contact. About Forty years later,
they reunite at a party for his elderly aunt. They reminisce about their
previous torrid love affair and resume the relationship. Concurrently, another
couple enters the scene: the reader observes Hank’s best friend, Frank, his
attempts to win over DiJana, a gorgeous woman he met at the party, is shared
with the reader. Ultimately, Hank and Bonnie’s relationship takes an abrupt turn
when an event from the past comes into play, and Bonnie’s fate hangs in the
balance.

What inspired your current book?

“End of the Rainbow” was inspired by a true love story of a man and his soul
mate.

Do you plan to write any additional books?

Strange you should ask. I have completed two other books that have not yet been
submitted for publication. The name of the bigger volume is titled, “The
American Way.” It is a book about relationships among our people. The other is
titled, “Confessions of a lousy parent,” as one can imagine that one is about
parenting. In addition, I am in the unfinished stage of two other books that
require various amounts of work. One is titled, “The best is yet to come,” it
is about a businessman and his business. The other one is my most ambitious
effort to date. It is a ten volume set. The title is, “Changing Times: It
happened on my watch.” I qualified for Medicare in December 2003; that puts me
at 71 years. The world has changed enormously since 1938, and I was there.
Volume I is titled “Legacy Makers,” it is more of a reference book than anything
else. it is a book of individuals who have made their mark on society and have
passed away. Volume II is titled, “Crime & Crime Prevention, Civil Liberties &
Civil Rights, Religion & Education,” I ask the question, “Is there some
relationship here?” and during the work, I indicate reasons to believe and maybe
even prove there is indeed such a link in the chain of human activity.

What are you currently doing to market your book?

I currently am engaged in presenting blog comments, and once the book is
released, I will be requesting friends, associates, and relatives to review my
book and send the review to Amazon.com. Also, in April, June, and July I was
given approval to write guest columns in my local newspaper. That exposure can
provide inroads into quite a number of readers. Once the book has actually been
released, I will direct everyone to my blog and my website. Plus, as we approach
the release date, I will begin marketing to everyone I know (that’s not a bunch
of people, but everybody knows somebody else). In addition, within the confines
of “End of the Rainbow” there are several pages that support Right To Life
issues of abortion, it is done in a natural manner that fits naturally within
the framework of the love story. May 30, 2010, I contacted Dave Andrusko,
editor of NRL News: he is anxiously awaiting a copy of the book so he can
provide a review.

What is the most difficult part about writing?

That’s easy: finding the time. I have a full time job that requires my total
concentration. I work from noon to midnight, by the time I get home and unwind,
it’s all over.

What is the most enjoyable part about writing?

That’s easy too: the most enjoyable part is being able to express myself in such
a manner that people understand and appreciate my opinion, and the way I express
it.

Who is your favorite author?

Another easy one: Ayn Rand

Did your favorite author influence your writing style?

I would probably say “no” to that one: her ideas influenced my thinking, but not
my style.

From sexual abuse victim to survivor, read author Laurie Homan’s story through the journal of a young girl.

Tell us about your book, what inspires you, and why you became an author?

My story is a reflection of a life experience shared by far too many women, that of sexual abuse. It is told through the pages of a young girl’s Journal, exposing my internal dialogue as I struggle to overcome the difficulties that are an intrinsic part of being a victim. The book ends with the manifestation of a precious gift bestowed upon me by the one person I always trusted, my sister, Karen. It sets the stage for my eventual recovery, allowing me to become a Survivor.

“The Journey Within” is a “Child’s Memoir” and relates how I viewed life during the Seventies, a time of social change. The child I was then never had the chance to speak out, but remained frozen in fear deep within me. It is now time to allow her to speak her truth; not only for me, but for all those like me. I want to prove healing is truly possible.

“The Journey Within, A Child’s Memoir” is the first in a series of books relating my life’s experiences and transformations from victim to advocate; athlete to disabled. My life has been an eclectic experience in so many ways that it allows me to relate to pretty much everyone. I believe firmly that each of us has a purpose in life; part of mine is to share my Journey for the benefit of others. It is my calling.

To market my book I am reaching out to friends for a book review. I’m working with N.A.M.I. (National Alliance for Mental Illness) as well as members of the disabled community, such as the Disabled Artists Network as well as the VSA organization that works with disabled artists internationally.

In my book, I relate how I grew up with books as my closest friends. I have many, many favorite authors, each of which has molded my approach to writing, but they didn’t really influence my writing style. What moved me the most was recognizing the power of the written word and the awesome impact it can have on others. I want more than anything to share what I have learned so others may heal themselves.

According to author Bruce Zortman, the quality of American education has declined. Anyone disagree?

Read more from this author on their blog.

What inspired? The painful realization that over the past 40 years the quality of American education at all levels is in rapid decline. To find that funds in one of the wealthiest nations on this planet are diminishing at such a rapid rate a democratic, sound education for all of its youth is vanishing, and that the cause of this disparity is at the administrative levels where an unconscionable inequity exists when slicing the funding pie. By far, administrative salaries reach corporate heights, leaving scant amounts for the two elements that are the basis of all education, the teacher and the student.

Favorite author? Herman Wouk. However, it is unfair to omit so many from Aristotle and Sophocles to Shakespeare and Spinoza.

Influence of favorite author. Wouk did influence my writing style and my subject matter. His The Caine Mutiny is unembellished, straightforward storytelling about youthful enlightenment struggling against the forces of established, empowered ignorance. His development of characters in a profound and memorable thematic vehicle make him, in my estimation, the greatest American author.

Writing difficulties. Finding time to write even in my retirement and finding someone other than my wife to read what I have written, for everyone in the industry including agents and publishers need the ”hook” of establishment to give up their good time to read an ”unknown.”

Help for the world. I believe that Murder Cum Laude will strike at the heart of anyone interested in the fundamental drive to pass along the knowledge of human existence from one generation to the next. My central character, the idealist Dennis Winecoop, has this drive not only to provide for his family but, as a teacher and professor, to provide the means that will make his students live richer and fuller lives. The outrageous obstacles that he must surmount harden him in his pursuit and provide him a type of unusual and unique success.

Are you afraid of your children growing? Do you fear the “empty nest”? Let Pat help you out with that common feeling.

What inspired you to write your current book?

I always wanted to write a book. What’s more, I was shocked by the “empty nest” pain of being alone again after 40 years of being a daily part of an active family. The ability to let go and to begin my own life again was very difficult and I felt that I just needed to write it down and did in bits and pieces for many years. Semi-retirement gave me the time I needed to collect my thoughts, read my notes, and come up with a story line that would be totally fiction but reflect my own life experiences.

What value will your book offer society?

My hope is that my book, “Forward/Rewind” will help women (and men who find themselves stuck on a similar “treadmill”) to understand that although their many years of nurturing and raising children, organizing the operation of a household, and the hubbub of family life changes when the children grow up, but the person who orchestrated the whole operation — themselves — remains the same person who is still as loved as ever but who now has the time to enjoy life in a host of different ways. I hope too that each person who reads my book will be able to relate to some or all of it but also to find it amusing as well as touching.

Will you write another book in the future?

I believe I will write another book, and maybe many books.

What are you doing to market your book?

Word of mouth through my friends and family. Facebook is another place where I talk a lot about my book, and now I have a blog that I post to often. As soon as I know how to use it to it’s fullest, I will give it more marketing value.

Who is your favorite author?

My all time favorite for most of my life is MARK TWAIN!. I learned just recently that I most enjoy stories of peoples’ lives and fiction based on people actual lives. But truthfully, I have many favorites from William Shakespeare to Danielle Steele and oh so many wonderful writers in between. As a young girl I loved Jane Austen, then I changed to Stephen King, and from there to James Patterson, James Michener, and Robert Ludlum. Don’t discount too Beatrix Potter, and and C.S. Lewis and the Chronicles of Narnia.

Did your favorite author influence your writing style?

Of all the writers that influenced me — and many have — I believe Mark Twain had the most influence on me since he wrote so many stories, fiction and non-fiction based on his own life and those lives of the ones he knew well.

(For Fun) Do you use Twitter or other social media online?

I am not a “Twitterer” but I do use Facebook and Linkedn although the latter is more for business colleagues than social uses. I did recontact a lot of people through Facebook, some of whom I treasure having “found” again after many years. I don’t play the games or put every movement or thought I have on my wall as many do. I just don’t have the time to be on the computer for social purposes because my computer is my canvas, and my art is creative writing rather than reporting my whereabouts to the world. LOL

What inspired you to write your book?

An insatiable quest for knowledge concerning the history of the zodiac and its indelible imprint upon our ancestors and their legacy.

What got you interested in the zodiac?

My mother’s extraordinary research and her copious notes which challenged my curiosity, promoting my own extensive research into the ways the zodiac has influenced our lives aside from its uses for astrology.

Can you explain your religious connection (if any) and the zoidiac?

I have always been very much aware of the role God plays in the coincidences and our own pathways to knowledge.

Who is your favorite author?

So many – mostly the Victorian romantic poets – Tennyson etc.

Did your favorite author influence your writing style?

They probably did! We were spoon fed from a very early age (8 or so,) at school.

Do you plan to write another book?
No. I’d like to read what others have to say about mine and enlarge upon the subject.

Meet Brandon Oosterlaan. He wants you to have less fear in your life so that you can accomplish more.

What is my current book about?

My Book, Fear? or Faith?, is about consciousness and self-cultivation.

What inspired me to write this book?

Well, I am inspired by the beings that surround me and have been teaching and guiding me on my path in life. The have showed me that fear is in all of us and that it limits our lives. Because of fear we do not pursue our dreams, our hearts. The wisdom is in our hearts, but we do not listen to it for we are often trapped in the mind, thinking negative thoughts. This is why I feel the need to write and hopefully help others become conscious!

What is the most enjoyable aspect of being an author?

To be able to share your vision, the things you have learned and teach others is what I enjoy most.

Do I plan to write another book?

I have already started writing my second book!

What is the most difficult part of the writing process? the easiest?

The difficult part of writing is the time to write. Next to my writing I have to work 5 days a week and sometimes it is difficult to find the energy after a long day of hard work.

The easiest part of writing is being in the moment and letting all the information flowing out with my heart wide open, knowing that it is valuable information to many people around the world. Information that we shouldn’t keep to ourselves, but share for the greater good of all.

What are you doing to market your book?

I am Blogging on AEGAuthorBlogs.com and my book will be published by Strategic Book Publishing/Aeg Publishinggroup.

Meet Dr. Nicholas Greene. He loves to write. Read and discover why.

In a few words describe your book?

My book is Non- fiction; it describes an incident that happened in my life after moving to France.
I started writing it initially as a cathartic way of working my way through the fear, nightmares and flashbacks. I couldn’t feel that I could burden my family or my friends with the pain of it all as I was supposed to be supporting them. Writing it so they could read it was an easier way for me to get it out there!

How is your book a reflection of yourself?

It is a reflection of me as it is about me; my innermost thoughts, my feelings, my hurt and fears.
I personally am a calm person, not overly emotional and hardly ever a worrier but I found myself in a position of being all of the above and had to deal with that too.

If you had to do it all over again, what would you change in your book?

I am happy with what I wrote and was very honest in the book, I believe in being true to myself at all times; I wrote it in a very calm manner and almost matter of fact so if I wrote it again I think getting over that initial fear I would have been a bit harder, showing more of the anger at the situation than I did.

What are you doing to market your book?

I have been waiting for the editing and ‘front and back covers’ before I launch anything as I would at least like something physical to put on websites instead of I am doing this and that.
I have however been following a few of the suggestions from SBP about getting the name out there like; Amazon feedback/reviews
I have had a website built and taken the domain name NikGreene.com
I have joined countless discussions and blogs getting to know what others do
I have set up this blog with AEG as well as having a Twitter and a Facebook presence
I have been bookmarking sites to hit as soon as I have a proof book
I have been in touch with various English forums, articles/newspapers and blogs to do with France to get my book advertised or reviewed on their sites
I have been in touch with the CEO of Waterstones in the UK and have a list of all the Waterstones shops to hit them with letters
I have also been gathering addresses to do with “False accusations” to send copies of my book to.
I have had business cards printed and as soon as I have a date I will be getting “card bookmarkers” made to send out.
Its all preliminary things really as I have no physical book to show..

What is the most enjoyable part of writing?

I love the feeling of putting words on paper to be read many times over
The most enjoyable part for me is getting up at 0600 in the morning with a fresh mind in a quiet atmosphere putting thoughts and ideas down, as I start to write the flow just takes you.
I even take a notebook to bed and leave it on a bedside cabinet, sometimes I wake up in the morning to find that during the night I have scribbled something, sometimes incoherent sometimes poignant.

Do you plan to write another book?

I have been bitten by the bug
I have already started writing 2 novels; it is going to be a series of books with a protagonist by the name of Jack Thompson I am writing 2 at the same time as they are closely linked. I want to get as much done as I can before the “False Accusations” comes out and takes me away from it…

Meet author France Porcher. H er words, and artistic photography of wildlife will move you.

In 100 words, what is your book about?

My book describes the shark-human relationships which develop between me and the reef sharks in a lagoon near Tahiti over a period of several years. First I take the reader to discover their exotic environment, then into ever more intimate contact with the sharks.

With time and many startling experiences comes the realization that sharks can think. This first scientific evidence of its kind is presented by shark ethologist Professor Arthur A. Myrberg Jr. at an international symposium on cognition. By the time the BBC comes to film my work for Discovery Channel’s Shark Week 2004, the sharks are being massacred for the shark fin soup market, and I am caught up in a desperate battle to save their lives. The documentary becomes my only hope to get their story out to the world.

What inspired your current book?

As a Canadian wild-life artist I had spent years observing a wide variety of species of wild animals, but sharks were very different. They came instead of rushing away, and were so interesting that the became central to my life. When the massacre began and dive clubs found their finless bodies on the seafloor at dive sites, I reeled. So I wrote down their story, hoping that animal and nature lovers who hadn’t thought much about sharks until then would read it and learn what these unusual animals are like, then join me in trying to save them. As the scientific importance of my findings about their intelligence and social lives became public, I rewrote the book to include the human framework and added a chapter on cognition (thinking) of different sorts, using examples from many other species of wild animals I had observed, to put the sharks’ actions in perspective. All my scientific findings are included in the book.

It seemed important to picture the sharks and other characters as I knew them, so I illustrated it using a technique especially developed for painting sharks in black and white–with lots of water, ink and bleach. The illustrations are writer-to-reader messages, loosely and spontaneously painted with humour and love.

Since Arthur Myrberg died before our paper on cognition (thinking) in sharks could be published, I included it in the book in the appendix. It seemed important that it be known that this highly respected American fish and shark ethologist declared at the end of his life that sharks are capable of cognition. So the book includes this great scientist’s final scientific paper.

Do you plan to write another book?

Yes, I have most of a second book written. It continues the theme of thinking and the subjective states expressed by wild animals, and the title is “The Sacred Mountain.”

Who is your favorite author?

Isabelle Allende

Did your favorite author influence your writing style?

No, I don’t think so. My writing style came from deep in my heart, the subject matter having such profound meaning for me.

It’s been nine years since she graduated from high school, but Pembroke native Stacy Padula remembers clearly what it felt like to be a teenager.

“It was such a war zone,” she said of high school. “You’d have somebody say something about you and you’d be like, ‘I don’t even know where they got that.’ […] Between the rumors, the gossip, the fake friendships and the drugs … it was definitely a war zone.”

A 2001 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School, Padula has good memories, too, and is still best friends with people she went to school with. But she also believes kids may not get an honest picture of what high school is like before they get there.

“I grew up reading a lot of books and it kind of painted a picture in my mind of what high school was going to be like, and then I stepped into it and it wasn’t anything like that,” Padula said. “It’s not Baby-Sitters Club; it’s not Sweet Valley High. I just felt like kids really needed books that were realistic to kind of prepare them.”

Padula hopes to help fill that gap with a series of novels called “Montgomery Lake High.” The first in the series, “The Right Person,” was released this month, published by Connecticut-based Eloquent Books, part of Strategic Publishing Group.

Padula started writing the series when she was in high school and rediscovered the books after college.

“I read through them and I was shocked that at such a young age I knew what half the stuff I wrote about was,” she said. “I decided to edit them and write additional books to kind of connect them, to explain how one got to the other, and added in bits of wisdom I picked up along the way.”

She sent out query letters to about 70 literary agencies, found one interested in representing her and then shopped the book around to publishers.

“I started sending out the letters in January 2009 and got an offer by October 2009 from a publisher. I felt like it was forever, but evidently it can take a lot longer than that. I ended up signing with them in November,” Padula said.

She is currently working on the second book in the series and said in total she has written five — though she doesn’t have plans to stop anytime soon.

“I just want to keep writing. I want to know what happens next, because I don’t know when I sit down what I’m going to write but I know my characters,” she said. “It’s like watching a movie. You can’t wait for the end.”

The first book tells the story of characters Chris Dunkin and Courtney Angeletti (later books center around other characters at the fictional school).

“Chris is realizing he’s kind of gotten in over his head with partying at a young age and it’s really affecting his life. One day, he meets this girl and he’s just drawn to her, he just sees a light about her. Something’s different and he just wants to know what it is,” Padula said. “Courtney, the girl, had been raised as a Christian and she’s very strong in her faith and was able to not get pulled into what Chris and his friends are into. […] She’s dealing with getting pulled into high school and getting to know Chris’ friends and how all of a sudden she’s feeling like she doesn’t fit in and wanting to get accepted.”

Padula said the books do follow a spiritual theme — the author grew up attending St. Thecla Church in Pembroke and now attends New Hope Church in Norwell — but that it isn’t overwhelming.

“There’s a Christian message to it, but not like a rigid, follow-the-law message — more like the law of liberty and love and pursuing a relationship with Christ as opposed to following all these rules thinking that’s going to set you free,” she said.

Padula grew up in Pembroke, moving to Kingston her sophomore year of high school. After graduating from Silver Lake, she attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston where she studied architecture and interior design, temporarily putting her writing on hold. After college, Padula worked at an architecture firm for several years but felt something was missing.

“I wanted to be doing something that helped. I wanted to be more involved with people and doing something I felt was useful and utilizing more of my talents and gifts,” she said.

Padula got connected with JBG Tutors, a company that helps kids work on certain subjects and study for tests like the SAT and ACT. She recently was promoted to program director when the company expanded to JBG Educational Group, now doing career counseling and consulting as well as tutoring. She lives in Rockland and works mainly in the Metro West area of Boston, though the business is starting to expand.

“I love my job. I literally wake up every day and I can’t believe I get paid to do this,” Padula said. “It also leaves me time to write.”

Padula’s first book, “Montgomery Lake High #1: The Right Person,” is available now on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. Eventually, it will be available in whatever bookstores decide to order it through the distributor, Padula said.

She said she is open to the idea of doing book signings or speaking to kids at school about her books.

“I believe in the message behind the books, so anything that’s going to reach out and help kids find out about it, I’m open to,” she said. “[…] I figure the books will get in the hands of whoever is meant to read them. My hope is that they meet them wherever they’re at, and that it can prepare younger kids for high school or encourage kids who are in high school to kind of rise above it and to hold their ground, not buckle under the pressure.”

Creative Screenwriting Magazine’s BEST SCRIPT ANALYSTS AND CONSULTANTS AS RATED BY SCREENWRITERS report just came out and Anton Diether of Writers Literary is ranked! This report is based on a survey conducted over a period of weeks from December 2009 to February, 2010. More than 80,000 recipients of the CS Weekly E-Zine, published by Creative Screenwriting, were invited to take the survey on line at surveymonkey.com, a professional surveying forms service.

“I’m pleased be included in Creative Screenwriting’s report,” stated Diether, “ but most of the credit should go to Writers Literary’s expert staff of editors whom I have personally handpicked and trained to assist screenwriters around the world.”

The survey received nearly 1,000 responses covering 212+* script analysts and consultants.
